Welcome to the official website of the Western Oregon Boomerang Roundup!
The Western Oregon Boomerang Roundup (WOBR) was first held in 1988 at the JB Sod turf farm north of Salem. The roundup was an annual feature there until 1992 when it was moved to its current location at McKay High School.
Follow this link to Yahoo Maps for a detailed map. Note, according to this map you enter the park on Templar Way. There is no street sign marking Templar, but it will be hard for you to miss!
This year WOBR will be a part of Sportsfest
2000. Sportsfest 2000, sponsored by the City
of Salem, is a full weekend of special events. Along with nearly
every type of sport you can imagine there will be fireworks on the Capital
Mall, music and demonstrations at the Riverfront
Park, food, drink, the whole works! Come and throw your boomerangs
and enjoy all that Sportsfest 2000 and the city of Salem have to offer!
Take Interstate 5 to the Market Street exit in Salem,
Oregon
Go east on Market Street
Turn left on Lancaster
Turn right on Sunnyview
Turn left on Hollywood Drive
Go about 1/2 mile and turn left on the un-named street
to get to the park
